megaman x6 cheats (ps1 or ps2) and megaman x7

Megaman x7
X:
To unlock X, save 64 hostages/robots.
kenzhao99.

Alternately, defeat two Bosses to unlock X.
saiyangt2002.

Zero:
You will unlock Zero as you progress with Axl.
saiyangt2002.

Completion bonus:
Successfully complete the game and choose the "New Game+" option to begin with your previous chips, X, and his armor.

X has full armor:
Hold Select when choosing X at the character selection screen.

Hint: Jungle stage: Extra lives:
There is an extra life at the beginning of the stage. Immediately when Megaman/Zero/Axl warps into the stage, zoom behind you to get it. After completing the stage, keep coming here, exit, and repeat to get the maximum number of lives.
Tom Yang.

Hint: Alternate ending sequences:
In order to change the ending sequence of the game, attack Sigma until he only has a few hits remaining. Then, switch characters and deliver the final blow. X's and Axl's ending sequences are almost identical. Zero's does not make much sense.
KenGrizzley10989.

Hint: Alternate X appearance:
Hold Select and choose X at the character selection screen to see him with all his armor.

Hint: X's Ultimate Armor:
Find the large blue things for the parts of X's Ultimate Armor (as in the previous games in the series).
Tom Yang.

"Lava" stage: Look low for it in the first phase of the stage.

"Airplane" stage: Look in the maze-like room in the second phase of the stage.

"Computer" stage: Use the portals to reach it in the second phase of the stage.

"Jungle" stage: After the "spike" area, there will be two stone spitting rocks, one on top the other. Use these two rocks to jump up top to the left area on a tree branch to get the blue pod containing the boots.

Hint: Defeating Flame Hyenard:
Have Zero and X. First, with Zero, jump on the horse without having to shoot its legs. Use the back leg to get up. Then with his water weapon, use the thrust to hit Flame Hyenard when he moves after summoning his clones. If Zero gets low on energy, switch to X and use Splash Laser. When that runs out, use Snipe Missile.
coolkid770.

Using Zero, run up to the Mechaniloid's front leg and jump up it. Then, use X's or Axl's Volt Tornado to hit the horns so there are no more missies. After that, stay on the machine's left or right shoulder and fire X-Buster or Axl Bullets and dodge his flame attacks. Note: This may require some practice.
Dterrymikejustin.

Hint: Defeating Red:
Use X's Explosion or Axl's Explosion/G-Launcherb (press Special Attack) when he is near you. When he is far, use X's Buster or Axl's Explosion/G-Launcher (press Attack). Finish him with Giga Crush.
anh nguyen.

Hint: Defeating Sigma's first form:
Sigma is very easy in his first form. Use X and Zero. Sigma mostly jumps around and shoots a pink laser. Stay down when he is firing the laser and blast him with the X Buster and Volt Tornado. Slash him as he jumps around with Zero's Saber, but try not to get hit. Then, finish him off with the Giga Crush. If done correctly, you will not need to use any sub tanks or lose any life.
Ryan.

As soon as Sigma appears, switch to Zero and equip the Wind Cutter Boomerang you obtained from Wind Crowfang. Pick a corner and every time he appears, shoot him with it. If done correctly, he will disappear each time you hit him, leaving you with all your health.
crazydoria.

Hint: Defeating Sigma's final form:
When Sigma's final form uses its Green Ball attacks, use Zero's Green Charged shield (hold Square). Zero will charge into Green Energy, and it will bounce the attack back to Sigma. When Sigma uses its Force Charged Punch, dash to right side then counter its attacks.
Lee Eng Sing.

Go up to the second highest rock to the left, and hide behind the highest rock. By doing this, Sigma cannot hit you with anything except the pink laser. Stand there and blast away with anything long range and you will kill him eventually.
Naoki Guwa.

Stay in the crack between the two top platforms. None of his attacks will be able to hit you. The punch will go past you and his fire balls will hit the platforms before they hit you. However, the laser can still hit you.
Andy.

When facing Sigma's final form, he will act differently when he uses an attack.
Ryan.

Stands with hands in the air: He will use his green ball attack.
Spins: He will shoot fire balls.
Approaches close to you: He will use his laser.
Approaches very close to you: He will shoot fireballs from his head.
Stands motionless for a few seconds: He is preparing to punch you.

Use Zero to deflect Sigma's long range attacks. Use X when Sigma appears directly next to you, and rapid fire him when he tries hitting you with fireballs. This is a great way to hack Sigma's life down quickly. Stand on the side of a platform instead of the center. This will leave you room to move when Sigma throws his punch. Do not get punched by Sigma; as this will take away at least a quarter of your life. When Sigma tries to punch you, move quickly to the side and use Zero to hack away at Sigma's fist. When Sigma's life is half-drained, his head will explode, revealing a smaller head. His attacks stay the same, however.
AWPalmer.

Hint: Defeating Soldier Stonekong:
Jump over the shield he throws and dodge the boulders by standing directly opposite of him. Sometimes he may not ever summon a boulder if you use Zero to slash or stun him, then Axl to just fire away.
saiyangt2002.

Hint: Defeating Splash Warfly:
Note: There are two ways to defeat him. At the start of the battle, make sure you have Zero out and have Vanishing Gungaroo's power. When the battle starts, immediately press Triangle to do a Flame Sword move to stun him for one or two seconds. Then, switch to Axl and equip the explosion move. Fire a normal attack, which is actually a Flame Rifle. Splash Warfly will either attack you or jump into the water. If he attacks with a water gun, hover until he stops then shoot him. If he attacks with his spear, jump and hover. He will dash past you and pause for a moment. Take this opportunity to stop hovering and shoot him. He can also twirl his spear around and chase you. Just hover in the air. His attacks cannot hurt you when you are in mid-air. The second way to defeat him is much easier. Have Zero out and make sure you have Tornado Tonion's ability. At the start of the battle, go up to Splash Warfly dashing. While you are dashing towards him, when you think you are close enough press Triangle to perform a tornado. He will then jump into the water and go to a different location. Repeat this process until he dies. Note: To do the tornado move with Zero, you must press Triangle while dashing.
Stinkytaco.

Hint: Defeating Palace Road Boss:
When you get to fight the annoying roller boss on the Palace Road, switch to Zero. When it comes close, press R2 to do the fireball attack. After about two blasts, his drum will explode, exposing a drill. Continue to slash him with the saber. When your life is low, switch to X and finish it off with the Giga Crush.
Ryan.

Hint: Defeating enemies:
To easily defeat an enemy, use Zero's Tornado Slash, It is very effective and is able to blow up any enemy.
Lee Eng Sing.

Hint: Ride Boarski stage: Weapons Energy tank:
A Weapons Energy tank is behind one of the Reploids that you have to save.
Lee.

Hint: Flame Hyenard stage: Shortcut:
If you have the leg part for X, you can skip the entire second half of Flame Hyenard's stage. When you start, turn left so you can see the far platform. Jump and glide over to it. When you get directly against it, press Jump to climb up. If done correctly, shoot a few enemies and walk to the transporter. Note: This may take a few attempts.
Ryan.

When you are at the first 3D part of the level, use Glide Armor to glide to the other half of the area. Note: This will cause you to miss some Reploids.
Sean Boucher.

When you reach the second part of the level, switch to Axl. Use Axl's Copy Shot on the flying enemy. Then, just glide over the lava, go past the giant robot, and leave the room to Flame Hyenard.
TJ Zuk.

Hint: Vanishing Gungaroo stage: Life Energy tank:
In the area where you have to fight several Ride Armors, before you destroy them all, climb to the top of the pillars in the room. Search the top of each one. There is a Life Energy tank on top of one, and a Heart tank on another. There are also Reploids to save around that room.
Lee.

Hint: Roll while dashing as Axl:
Press Circle again while dashing. The best thing about this maneuver is that all shots that are fired upon Axl while he is rolling will miss him, resulting in less damage and possibly a higher Hunter grade.
Willjr12.

Hint: Hover as Axl:
Hold Jump (default is X) to hover. When you are hovering, you can stay in the same place or move around (with the D-pad or the Left Analog-stick) for a limited time. When you are hovering, you can fire Axl Bullets with the Normal Attack (default is Square). You will know that the hovering time is almost up by a slow decrease in altitude. This is a good trick to use when you cannot get to a place without a farther jump, such as Zero's Double Jump, or when you need to be in the air or need some height to kill an enemy.
Andrew Orton.

Hint: Extended Air Dash as Zero:
At the end of an Air Dash with Zero, attack with your Z-Saber. If timed correctly, Zero will go forward a few more inches.
MegamanXRD1.

Hint: Always use Dash Jump:
As any character, hold Circle. While holding Circle, every jump (X) will be farther and faster than normal. This is the same as pressing Circle + X, with less timing involved.
DBZGOKUSS305.

Hint: Rapid fire and auto-charge:
When you are at the Boss selection screen, press L1. You should see three choices. Go to "Options", then to "Game Options". Confirm the "Auto Repeat" and "Auto Charge" options.
the cheat.

Hint: X's Buster equipment:
X's Buster equipment is on the Lava Factory stage, directly below the second fire-spitting dragon head in the first area.
Tyler Nitzband.

Hint: Recommended Boss order:
Soldier Stonekong, Tornado Onion, Splash Warfly, Flame Hyenard, Snipe Anteator, Wind Crowfang, Vanishing Gungaroo, Ride Boarski.
Sebastien laforge.

Hint: Use Z-Saber without decreasing ability power:
When you get a few of Zero's abilities, pause game play and put the pointer on as many of them as you desired, but do not select them. Look in a box below the energy tanks to find out how to use it. With that information, resume game play with the Z-Saber. If you use the ability (except his Fire Pound ability), it will not use any ability power.
Rick.

Hint: Boss weaknesses:
Sebastien laforge.

Red: him with X-Buster or Volt Tornado
Sigma 1: Splash Laser ( or Zero's D-Glaive special move)
Sigma 2: Sniper Missile ( or Zero's Hieijin Skill )

There are several bosses in this game you can defeat without any special weapons, given time and patience. They are Tornado Onion, Ride Boarski, and Stonekong. However, some are more challenging than others. Instead of giving a recommended order, the following lists each Boss' weakness when playing as Axl/X. It is not too difficult to figure out Zero's version. These were determined by looking for the traditional Mega Man series Weak Point Indicator. That is, when the Robot Master is hit by their respective weapon they usually, in most games, pause for a moment or lose large chunks of life quickly. Using this method, the last two Robot Masters on the list seem to have the same weakness, but it was not determined which used which weapon.
McDole.

Tornado Onion: Gaea Shield

Ride Boarski: Circle Blaze

Vanishing Gungaroo's Armor: Unknown, but it is easy enough to defeat with default blaster. Save your weapon energy, or at the very least do not use Wind Cutter.

Vanishing Gungaroo: Wind Cutter

Splash Warfly: Volt Tornado. Zero's version is easier to use against this Boss.

Flame Hyenard: Splash Ray. Zero's version is a much better choice because it does not run out of energy. As this weapon works best on hitting the real Hyenard, this allows you to miss more often and survive.

Wind Crowfang: Sniper Missile

Soldier Stonekong: Explosion

Snipe Anteator: This seems to be the token Robot Master that has no clear weakness. However, Explosion does measurable damage. For normal weapons, the X-Buster and Axl being powered up by Explosion do good damage as well.

Note: Either Stonekong or Anteator are supposed to be weak to Moving Wheel, but because Anteator does not show any sign of it being his weakness, and Explosion actually triggers a pause in Stonekong it is not possible to say which is weak to Moving Wheel.

Palace Rode Boss: Volt Tornado takes it down a few levels quickly enough to be its weakness, but there may be a better weapon.

Red: Explosion, and after that is used up try the trusty X-buster.

Sigma first form: Wind Cutter, when used up then Sniper Missile, then X- Buster. Wind Cutter is the weakness, but you will used up wither X or Axle just taking up a third of Sigma's life.

Sigma's final form: See the hints for defeating it.

Each Boss is effectively stunned by the following weapons:
GERALD PAIGE.

Tornado Tonion: Gaea Shield
Vanishing Gungaroo: Wind Cutter
Ride Boarsky: Circle Blaze
Flame Hyenard: Splash Laser
Snipe Anteater: Explosion
Splash Warfly: Volt Tornado
Soldier Stonekong: None
Wind Crowrang: Sniper Missile

Megaman x6
X's Ultimate Armor:
Press Start at the title screen, then press Left(3), Right at the main menu before starting a new game. A sound will confirm correct code entry. You will begin the game with X's Ultimate Armor.
Information in this section was contributed by wikawey, DinoBurn, and Coolkid131988.

This is X's ultimate armor. It is basically X's armor from Megaman X4 and X5 (known as the Fourth Armor). It has nice defense and the ultimate power, Invincible Dash. Note: You will never use up Giga Attack energy when using the Giga Attack.
Information in this section was contributed by domesticarts.

Nightmare Zero:
Press Start at the title screen, then press L1(3), R2 at the main menu. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Start a new game. When you rescue Zero after defeating him in battle, you will play as the Nightmare version of Zero. Nightmare Zero has all of Zero's normal moves, but he is much more powerful.
Information in this section was contributed by wikawey and Coolkid131988.

"GA" rank:
To get rank "GA", obtain 2,000 to 3,000 Soul.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

"PA" rank:
To get the rank "PA", obtain 5,000 Soul.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

"UH" rank:
To get the rank "UH" obtain 9,999 Soul.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

Ending bonus:
Get a high rank, such as "GA", "PA", or "UH", then complete the game and wait for the ending credits to finish. After the credits end there should be a screen showing you two game secrets.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

Hint: Zero:
Find Zero with the teleporters and fight him. He will join you after he is defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by coolmmxz.

Hint: Easy attack with Zero:
Press Attack and Dash continuously with Zero.
Information in this section was contributed by Jhen.

Hint: Zero's best attacks:
First, you have his normal three slash combo. This is best used with the first two slashes repeatedly and is done by tapping X(2), wait until he begins to put his weapon away about a second later, then tap X(2) again. Keep doing this as many times as needed. Instead of using his spinning jump slash which engulfs his whole body, use his normal jump slash without the double jump. Ensuizan, however, is one of his best attacks. It is basically the jumping spin slash wherever you want it.
Information in this section was contributed by Alex Perry.

After gaining the Fire attack for Zero, just attack as you normally would except tap his slash attack two times and on the third time use his Fire attack.
Information in this section was contributed by KatMclaughlin.

Hint: Slash combo with X:
This trick can be done with any of X's armors except the Shadow Armor. Go to the controller configuration screen and turn on the "Auto-Fire" feature. Play the game normally. Whenever you want to make slashing combos, make sure you are not directly next to a wall and have a comfortable position for Dash (R1 recommended). Hold Slash as soon as the saber touches the ground, but before it starts to get small, press Dash. This will cancel the slash and start a new one. You can use this technique to perform slash combos similar to Zero's from Megaman X4 and Megaman X5.
Information in this section was contributed by DarkZero.

Hint: Stronger Z-Saber slash:
When using the Blade armor for X, instead of pressing Triangle, use Up + Square.
Information in this section was contributed by Kyle Erdahl.

Hint: Nightmare effects:
Each effect is neutralized in almost in all cases by the same weapon it comes from. In the case of the raining magma, blow it up with ShouenZan or Magma Blade. For iced floors, use Hyoroga/Ice Burst. For gnats, use Yammark Option. For iron blocks, use Metal Anchor/Rakukojin. For soul spirits, use Laser Shield. Finally, red crates can be blown up with SentsuiZan/Ground Dash; black and blue ones can be moved with the same weapon. The rain and the spotlights cannot be neutralized.
Information in this section was contributed by Dark Zero.

Amazon Area, Laser Institute: Metallic gnats (very pesky)
Amazon Area, Magma Area: Metallic gnats
Inami Temple, Amazon Area: Normal rain (slows you down)
Inami Temple, Central Museum: Normal rain
Magma Area, North Pole Area: Magma rain. Also, some walls break an allow access to secret area.
Magma Area, Weapon Center: Magma rain.
Weapon Center, Amazon Area: Spotlights (dispiriting and very difficult to maneuver with)
Weapon Center, Inami Temple: Spotlights
Laser Institute, North Pole Area: Soul spirits (attacking soul clones of Zero/X, respectively)
Laser Institute, Inami Temple: Soul spirits
North Pole Area, Recycle Lab: Iced floors
Recycle Lab, Magma Area: Iron blocks
Recycle Lab, Weapon Center: Iron blocks
Recycle Lab, Central Museum: Iron blocks
Central Museum, Recycle Lab: Red, blue and black crates
Central Museum, Laser Institute: Red, blue and black crates

Hint: Blade Armor:
A nice armor featuring a Giga Attack that is similar to Zero's Triple Z Strike (in which he shoots two buster shots, then shoots blades from his saber). Its charged shot has limited plasma capabilities and will sometimes leave behind its power to damage an enemy. Its charged shot is not very powerful. There are four pieces to this armor, which are found in capsules scattered throughout the game. You have enhanced dash abilities and the ability to freeze in midair and dash straight up, straight down, the left, or the right depending on the direction you hold. This dash is known as Mach Dash.
Information in this section was contributed by domesticarts.

Helmet: At the Central Museum. Enter the totem poles and search thoroughly through each one. The armor, however, is usually in the final totem pole.

Armor: Go to the Laser Institute. Go to the room with many mirrors required to reflect the lasers to hit the door at the end. There will be a door in the floor near the end. Angle the mirrors so that they hit the door opener in the ground (the very last mirror must be horizontal). Drop down the hole. Jump against the left wall and hold Left until you fall through part of it. The capsule is within sight.

X Buster: Go to the Weapons Center and defeat the giant Reploid Ilumina. Enter the portal that appears and walk left instead of right. The capsule is very close from where you appear after entering the portal, just placed out of sight by the clever game design.

Boots: Go to the Amazon Stage. At the bottom of the first cliff you fall off from will be a Praying Mantis Mechaniloid. Destroy it and walk into the passage behind it. The capsule will be in there.

Hint: Blade Armor special abilities:
The Blade Armor can perform a powered Mach Dash by pressing X(2). The longer you hold X and/or the D-pad, the farther he will dash in that direction. It special attack is firing two waves of two Z-Sabers in the direction he is facing.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Falcon Armor:
X will begin with this armor normally. The armor will be available from the start of the game. Its buster features a piercing shot and a powerful Giga attack, known as Giga Rain. The armor is faulty, and you cannot perform the Invincible Flight power from Megaman X5 (which allowed X to fly for ten seconds). You can still perform the Air Dash though.
Information in this section was contributed by domesticarts.

Its special attack is a fully charged X-Buster blast that falls all over the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Shadow Armor parts and locations:
Information in this section was contributed by Wang2bfam.

Body: In Rainy Turtloid's stage, when you get to the inside of the tree trunk, there are five narrow passages with spikes on the ceiling and floor. Three are on the left side and two are on the right side. The upper right passage leads to the Shadow Armor body program. You will need the Blade Armor and use the Mach Dash to get through the narrow passageway. Make sure to release Right or you will walk into the second set of spikes. Repeat this to go through the second set of spikes.

Leg: You find this in Blizzard Wolfang's stage. Shortly, after passing the area with vertical avalanches and pillars of ice you have to stand on, you will reach a downward slope to a ladder. Above the ladder is a ledge. Zero can double jump to that ledge. X with the Blade Armor can Mach Dash straight up and land on the ledge.

Arms: You find this in Blaze Heatnix's stage. After the second mini-Boss Donut Mechaniloid, you will get to a vertical area with an upper and lower door. You will notice the ceiling is quite high above the upper door.

Head: If you have not come from Metal Shark Player's stage, you will need the Blade Armor's Mach Dash ability to get to the armor capsule. You must climb either the left or right side of the vertical chamber. Once you see the left or right ledges, dash jump off the wallm then Mach Dash upwards and land on the ledge. Continue to climb up, and you will see the capsule.

There is another way to get the body part of the Shadow Armor in Rainy Turtloid's stage. Before going to Rainy Turtloid's stage, go to the "Parts" section of the stage selection menu and equip the Hyperdash and D-Barrier parts on X. Go to Rainy Turtloid's stage with the Falcon Armor. Enter the tree trunk and find the upper-right passage. Instead of trying to dash in the air to get through the set of spikes, go back to the ledge. Then, wait until one of the many bats with bombs follow you. Make sure you get hit by it directly in front of the spikes. After you are hit you will have about four or five seconds before you stop flashing (are invincible), dash rapidly forward. You will first see a Reploid that needs to be rescued. Either rescue her and die, or keep going and find the armor capsule. It is recommended that you wait to rescue her until you get the Shadow Armor, as it makes you invulnerable to spikes.
Information in this section was contributed by Daniel Felipe Rodríguez.

Use the following trick if you are playing the game completely with Zero and do not want to use X to get the Shadow Armor Part in Rainy Turtloid's stage. When you go up to the uppermost passage on the right, you will read Alia's message. She tells you that only X can get through. This is not true. Instead of dashing in the air, go to back to the ledge until one of the many bats comes after you. When it does, have it damage you directly in front of the spike passage. Immediately when you start flashing (and are invulnerable), dash to get through the first set of spikes, and on the second set of spikes Air Dash. The Air Dash part is the most difficult in the process. Practice before trying the actual thing is recommended. If you make it through, to get out you must kill yourself or quit if you already cleared the stage.
Information in this section was contributed by Daniel Rodriguez.

Hint: X's armor:
Use the following trick to obtain all of X's armor. Start the game with X's Ultimate armor then collect the parts to the Blade and Shadow armor and defeat Nightmare Zero. By his time you should have all X's armor plus Zero. If you start the game with the Ultimate Armor you will immediately have the degraded Falcon armor and X with no armor which are both not recommended for use.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

Hint: Shadow Armor special abilities:
The Shadow Armor has Hydroga as its special jump. It also allows you to touch, walk on, and climb on spikes without getting hurt. Its giga attack is Z-Saber becoming released and circling around him. Shadow Armor can perform Hydroga, by pressing Up + X.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Easy Shadow Head capsule:
As Zero, equip Jumper and go to Blaze Heatnix's area. Defeat the first two "donut" Mechaniloids (use Rekkoha) and go through the door. Above youa re three platforms. Jump to the highest one. You will see a door. Wall jump to the top of the wall opposite the door. You should see a Nightmare, Injured Reploid, and a Heart Tank. Keep at the top of the wall until the Nightmare comes toward you and kill it. Then, slide down the wall a bit and double jump to the platform. Climb upwards until you reach the capsule.
Information in this section was contributed by spinoffkillerm.

Hint: X's armor special abilities:
Zero can perform a double jump by pressing X at the top of the first jump. The special attack is a Raynoka Blast fall from the top left to the top right of the screen.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: X's Ultimate Armor special abilites:
Its special is the Invincible Dash. Press X, then X again. You will be invincible while performing any part of it, and it does not use GigaAttack energy.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Easy Nightmare Soul gain:
After defeating all eight Mavericks, go to a stage that you can get to the teleporter fairly quickly and easily (such as Infinity Mijinion). Get to the Boss (not the main one, the one where you fight Zero or High Max). You should find Dynamo there. Get next to him and use the Meteor Rain attack (Ensuizan for Zero) twice. Dynamo should drop a Nightmare Orb worth 200 Souls. You can make him do this three times before he goes away for a total of 600 Souls. You can do this as many times as you needed.
Information in this section was contributed by Kamon: The One-Winged Angel of Lower Depths.

To gain higher ranks obtain different amounts of Soul (the blue or green orbs) with X or Zero. The easiest way to obtain Soul is defeat four mavericks with X and four Zero to get an equal amount of Soul. Then (assuming Rainy Turloid, Nightmare Zero, and High Max are defeated), fight Dynamo and use RainyTurloid's weapon by charging up (X) or standing near him and pressing the Down + Y (as Zero). After Dynamo is hit with this attack he should drop a Soul item worth 200 Souls. After a high amount of Soul is obtained (2,000, 5,000, and 9,999) you should gain a rank, depending how much Soul you have.
Information in this section was contributed by cassensjim.

Hint: Defeating Blaze Heatnix:
Immediately as the battle starts, magma flows up from the bottom of the screen. Find a ledge. After you hit Blaze Heatnix a few times, the lava recedes and comes down from the top of the screen. You now have the little space below the ledges; so use Meteor Rain to kill Blaze Heatnix quickly.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Defeating Gate:
Use the Magma Sword on Gate when he throws his spheres. Hit the spheres so that they explode and turn into smaller spheres. They will hit him back.
Information in this section was contributed by FouLu44.

Note: To reach Gate, defeat all eight bosses, or enable the "X's Ultimate Armor" code and defeat him the first time you fight him after the Crazy Maverick. Whenever you defeat High Max, Gates stage will automatically be open. The best way to pass the spikes at the start of Gate's level is to use the Zero or the Shadow Armor. When in the second area in which magma apperas from the bottom of the screen, run under the opening in the ceiling and use Hydroga with Zero or the Shadow Armor. When you are by the wall, grab it and climb. The Gate Sub Boss #1 is weak against Metal Anchor and Giga Attacks. If you can get X up to him, use the "Storm Eagle" trick for heavy damage.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

As Zero, equip D. Barrier, Jumper and Full Recover. Then, fill your Subtanks. Then, when you get to Gate, stand on a platform until Gate moves toward you. Next, Dash Jump to another platform. When he shoots spheres, try to destroy them. They will break into six pieces and hurt Gate. As soon as you get his health low, he will slash the platforms near you. Dash Jump away every time he gets near you. Note: When he throws spheres on you, use Ensuizan to destroy them.
Information in this section was contributed by spinoffkillerm.

As X (Falcon, Blade or Ultimate), equip D. Barrier, Jumper and Full Recover and fill your Subtanks. When you get to Gate, stand on a platform, then Dash Jump to another when Gate moves toward you. When he throws his spheres, use Magma Blade to destroy them. Do not charge the Magma Blade. They will break into six spheres that hurt Gate.
Information in this section was contributed by spinoffkillerm.

Hint: Defeating the Giant Maverick:
For the first battery. equip AutoCharge, then dodge until you are fully charged. When fully charged, shoot the little red gem. On the way to the second battery, a tracking system targets you. If it locks on, wait until it shoots, then jump. For the second battery, use the same tactics as done against the first, except there are lasers that shoot at you from the side walls, and the targeting system is still activated.
Information in this section was contributed by YamiSeto97.

Hint: Defeating High Max:
After getting Zero, go through the teleporters and find High Max with Zero. Make sure to have both Sub-tanks full before facing him. Use the Sharks weapon with Zero. Take your time facing him -- it takes awhile to figure out his attacks and how to get close to him.
Information in this section was contributed by Cosmic Tri.

The following trick requires the Ultimate Armor and Zero in your party. Charge up Ultimate Armor X's Buster and fire it at High Max while he is blinking. Then, immediately use the Giga Crush on him. Three or four hits are required to kill him. When you win, you can skip all the Bosses and go directly to Gate's level.
Information in this section was contributed by SPIDERMEW.

After acquiring Zero, choose the Falcon Armor at the character selection screen. Go to the teleporters to High Max. Before he fires the three waves of energy balls, hit him with a fully charged Buster Shot. This will make him vulnerable. Afterwards, hit him with any special weapon (they take off the same amount of damage on him). After you hit him, he will either chase you with a shield on or fire a huge ball. To dodge the shield chase, just duck. To dodge the ball, jump on the wall and over it or him. Repeat these steps until High Max is defeated. You do not need to find all of Dr. Light's armor parts to defeat him. After you win, an intermission sequence will begin and you will have access to a new level, the Secret Laboratory.
Information in this section was contributed by Siegfried Almastar.

Use the following trick to defeat High Max with Zero and no sub tanks. This strategy requires that you obtain more than half the heart tanks for Zero. It also helps if you have a sub-tank. When the fight begins, dash to the other side of High Max, making sure he fires four fireballs by the time you are at the corner, and four more while you climb up the wall. Then, dash to your left and use Magma Blade to paralyze him. Next, jump and attack him. He will get injured and fly up. When he descends, he will do one of two things. If he appears to be charging a ball with his fist, double jump over him and then use Magma Blade while he is in the bottom corner of the field. Use the Z-Buster, as it takes more damage. If he surrounds himself with something, he will be invincible. This takes a lot of damage, so stay away from corners as you will receive no damage if you duck. Repeat the process until his life is low. He will surround himself with some fireballs and bombard you non-stop with them. Just jump and keep performing Ensuizan (Down + Triangle) This will result in some damage and eventually he will die, as he only does this attack when low on health. Note: Do not try to fight High Max in Blizzard Wolfgang's stage as it will be more difficult and you cannot to jump on the walls because of the ice.

To defeat High Max with the Shadow Armor, get close to him and hit him with a charged attack. This makes defeating High Max in the final level fairly easy, and any other time you face him.
Information in this section was contributed by Tael-Thi.

To defeat High Max with Zero (whether Nightmare or not), you must first obtain the weapon from Blaze Heatnix. Get close to High Max then use Shoezan (Up + Attack). This will stun him. Then, just attack, either with his Jumping Spinning Slash, his Jumping Slash, or his combo. It should not take too long to defeat him, and if you dodge High Max's attacks well, you should not need anymore than just Zero with the Shoezan.

After you rescue Zero, go to any stage. Infinity Mijion's stage is recommended because it is short. Go into the portal and fight High Max at the end. To defeat him, you must have at least one special ability. Attack High Max with the X Buster and use any special ability on him. When he goes to the center of the room, use the special ability. You do not need to hit him with a charged up shot. Once you defeat him, you can skip all the Bosses and go to Gates Laboratory. Also, if you go back to the portal, you can fight Dynamo. Dynamo has two forms. In the first stage he uses a whip. He can twirl it around and throw it at you, but he should not be too difficult. His next stage is difficult. He still has his purple whip, but now has a new attack. He slams his fist in the ground and beams appear from it. You must think about where the beam will appear and dodge it. With practice you will avoid it with no problems.

Hint: Defeating Infinity Mijinion:
Note: Zero is required. First, destroy the doors that power Illumina. Then when the crystal appears, keep running to the right. You will reach Infinity Mijinion's Boss doors. Then, just use Zero's Z Blaster until Mijinion has been defeated.
Information in this section was contributed by TWMartin1992.

Infinite Mijion's weakness is the X-Buster that Zero has. Do not try to use specials. Instead, turn on Rapid Fire. When the battle starts, just start blasting (pressing Square recommended). When you blast him against the wall, jump over the opponent in front of you, as he is a fake, and blast the one by the wall.

Hint: Defeating Rainy Turtloid:
Equip the Blade Armor and Ultimate Buster part. Fire the Ice Weapon and Mach-Dash up. You will fire icicles and one will hit Turtloid in the head, freezing him and causing heavy damage. The fully-charged ice weapon is Turtloid's only weakness; the Ultimate Buster, which fires all fully-charged shots, makes this a lot easier. if you do not have it, use Quick-Charge instead.

Defeating Shield Sheldon:
Note: This only requires Zero to be used in the level. Once you meet Shield Sheldon, dash to him. If he teleports to one side of the arena, get as close as possible to him before he throws his shells. Duck from the first one. When it passes you, run up to Sheldon and slash him with the saber combo to do serious damage. Then, avoid the shells as they appear and prepare to fight again. If he teleports to the top of the screen and goes into his shell, dash to the right or left of him and wait for him to hit the floor. Then, dash to the other side of the room. He will end up throwing shells at you very soon. After you hurt him enough, he will shield himself from all sides and charge at you. Slash Sheldon and a shield or two at the same time with a normal combo. Note: If he is not floating at you, then you have a problem. This should kill him by now. If he is still alive, he will split his shells up to the four corners of the screen. Then, he will fly out of them and go into another one. Move to the center of the floor, between the bottom two shells. Wait for him to fly out of one of the shells at you. Then, jump over him and shoot him as he flies away. Repeat each technique for each attack, and you should not have any problems. Note: When he does not have the shells on him, try to combo him repeatedly.

Hint: Defeating Zero:
The Z Saber that you are given as a secondary weapon is his weakness. Zero's special attacks will be neutralized and he fades out and reappears on the other side of the screen.

When fighting Metal Shark Player, he will sometimes call Magna Centipide from Megaman X2.

Hint: Blast Hornett:
When fighting Metal Shark Player, he resurrects Reploids from previous MegaMan X games to help him. He will rarely call up Blast Hornett from Megaman X3. Blast Hornett fires a large wave of mechanoid hornets at your character when he is summoned. After a few waves he will disappear.

Hint: Getting the Shadow Armor's Body:
When trying to get into the part with all the spikes, jump then wait until you are in between the top and bottom rows of spikes to use the Mach Dash. You should use X to do the Mach Dash after jumping and release all buttons at the time so you do not hit the second row of spikes. After making past the first row, rescue the Reploid and repeat the procedure for the next row of spikes. Do the same thing to get out.

Hint: Transporter to High Max/Dynamo in the Inami Temple:
In the tree, there are passages with spikes. There are three on the right, and two on the left. Go to bottom one on the left and do the Mach Dash (Invisible Dash for X's Ultimate Armor) and you will fly into it.

Hint: Virus advantages:
When playing as X, if you get hit by the Sigma Viruses you obviously will lose health. However, when playing Zero, he will gain full health if this happens. This is very useful when running very low on health when playing Zero.

Hint: Super high jump:
While you are using the Shadow Armor or have the Ice Attack with Zero, hold Up and press Jump while you are dashing. You will do the normal high jump, but you will be dashing as in a Dash Jump.
Information in this section was contributed by Brian Young.

Hint: Invincibility:
In the Amazon area with Zero and the special attack Ensuizan, get on top of one of the Transporter Reploids. Perform the special attack. If done correctly, you will be invincible throughout the rest of the level and be able to walk on spikes, as long as you do not die by falling of a cliff.
Information in this section was contributed by Joey Salgado.

Hint: Alternate purple doors entrances:
If you approach purple doors differently, your character might enter differently and do poses. For example, if you continuously shoot peewee shots while approaching a purple door (still shooting when you enter), you will walk in with your gun raised and aimed forward. If you slide down a wall into a purple door, your character will turn around and slide (on nothing) into the next room. Dashing will also result in an alternative entrance.

Hint: Stop roof from lowering in Metal Shark's stage:
You can stop the lowering roof by getting the big robot and walking through the level. At one point you will see a large garbage pile. It is the tallest one. Jump up there and get out of the robot. The roof will only go down until it hits the robot, and you can easily make it to the lower area.

In the area where the ceiling comes down, you get the robot suit. Go all the way to the top of the junk and jump out with X + Up. The ceiling will try to crush you, it but will not be able to. Instead, it will stop and go up immediately after it is touched. This guarantees that you will not get crushed by it on the top level.

Hint: Blue portals:
At some areas, you will see a blue warp portal. Go inside to unlock many things in game. The first time is where you meet Nightmare Zero; it unlocks Zero as a player. The second time is where you meet High Max again; it auto unlocks the Gate stage. The third and many times afterwards is where you meet Dyamo from Megaman X5, as you would always meet him if you still go in the blue portal.
